Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 26th November, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Overview & Scrutiny Committee approved the appointment of Alia Begum to the Health and Adults Scrutiny Sub-Committee. The committee also approved the Scrutiny Executive Protocol and took note of reports from the Chief Executive and the Cabinet Member for Environment and the Climate Emergency, as well as updates from the scrutiny leads.
Council - Wednesday, 20th November, 2024 7.00 p.m.
At this meeting, the council debated three petitions from members of the public and two motions proposed by the political groups. The council unanimously voted to reject or significantly reduce a proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for dogs and unanimously voted to adopt the Migrant Care Workers' Charter. The council also voted to adopt a motion asking for the reintroduction of Meals on Wheels. The council voted to change who chairs the council committees.
Health & Adults Scrutiny Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 5th November, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The meeting heard presentations on services for older adults, community care charging and winter health planning. The committee agreed to introduce free community care from 1 April 2025 and were briefed on a range of initiatives to mitigate winter pressures on the NHS.

It also discussed the Council’s performance on tackling rent arrears, its Youth Justice Plan and the Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA) Policy for licensed premises.
