Audit Committee - Monday, 8th July, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Audit Committee discussed updates on the progress of various internal and external audits being carried out at the council. Councillors noted four reports on School Audits, Risk Management, Insurance and Internal Audit. They also discussed the committee's work plan for 2024/25. Finally, the committee moved into private session to discuss a confidential matter.
Extraordinary, Audit Committee - Thursday, 27th June, 2024 6.00 p.m.
The Audit Committee discussed the council's performance in providing adult social care to people in their homes, and the process of recruiting new social workers to deliver that care. The committee decided to ask the council's senior management team to investigate the relationship between the amount the council spends on recruiting social workers and the speed with which they are able to fill vacancies.
Standards Advisory Committee - Wednesday, 26th June, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Standards Advisory Committee met to discuss several issues relating to standards and conduct at the council. The committee noted the contents of all reports. They also agreed to a minor change to the Standards Advisory Committee procedure rules to ensure that they are consistent with the Members Code of Conduct.
