The upcoming meeting of North Northamptonshire Council will address key issues including the adoption of a new Corporate Plan, the approval of the Corporate Parenting Board's Annual Report, and proposed changes to council tax premiums. Councillors will also consider the terms of reference for a Community Governance Review, and discuss motions related to pavement parking, secondary school provision at Hanwood Park, and the role of Sport England in planning applications.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Tuesday 9th December, 2025 2.00 pm

The North Northamptonshire Health and Wellbeing Board is scheduled to meet on 9 December 2025, at the Corby Cube in Corby. The agenda includes discussions on the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, the Family Help Strategy, SEND provision, the Better Care Fund, the Family Drug and Alcohol Court, the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership Annual Report, and the mental health of care leavers. Councillor Brian Benneyworth, Chair and Portfolio Holder for Health and Leisure, North Northamptonshire Council, will chair the meeting.

Shared Services Joint Committee - Wednesday 26th November, 2025 2.00 pm

The Shared Services Joint Committee met to discuss the disaggregation of shared IT services between North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) and West Northamptonshire Council (WNC). The committee approved the decision for NNC to disaggregate the IT services provided by WNC, with the exclusion of services provided to the Northamptonshire Children's Trust and those included within business systems arrangements. NNC will fund the one-off costs of disaggregation and 75% of any unavoidable stranded costs, and the Section 151 officers[^1] of both councils will agree the final cost implications.

Executive - Tuesday 11th November, 2025 10.00 am

The North Northamptonshire Council Executive met to discuss a range of issues, including the adoption of the Corporate Plan 2025-2029, the financial performance of the council, and a new policy for adult social care direct payments. They approved the Great Addington Neighbourhood Plan, and also approved going out to procurement for the electoral services printing and mailing contract. The Executive also agreed to introduce a premium for long term empty properties and second homes to encourage owners to bring properties back into use more quickly to address housing shortages.
