The Finance Committee convened to discuss a range of financial matters, including approving the 2026/27 operational budget estimates, allocating funds from the International Disaster Fund, and addressing the financial challenges facing the Housing Revenue Account[^1]. The committee also reviewed the Integrated Facilities Management strategy and approved contingency funding for the Bury Street public inquiry.

General Purposes Committee of Aldermen - Tuesday, 9th December, 2025 10.00 am

The General Purposes Committee of Aldermen met on 9 December 2025 to discuss the City of London Corporation's budget, the transfer of trusteeship of the Samuel Wilson Loan Charity, and the disposal of 1 Queen Victoria Street, among other items. The committee was also scheduled to consider the award of an annual grant to the Livery Companies.

The Court of Aldermen convened to address a variety of civic matters, including votes of thanks, resolutions, and the admission of new Freemen to the City of London. The meeting also included the swearing in of a Bridgemaster and a report from the General Purposes Committee of Aldermen.

Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee - Monday, 8th December, 2025 11.00 am

The Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee met to discuss the City Arts Initiative, the Sculpture in the City programme, the revenue outturn forecast, and Keats House. The committee approved two blue plaque proposals, rejected one, and deferred a decision on the Sculpture in the City programme pending further information. The committee also reviewed the revenue outturn forecast as at Quarter 2 2025/26.
