The meeting agreed changes to the delivery of Children’s Centre services, approved the Greenwich Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP) Annual Report 2023/24, noted the outcome of the consultation on changes to charging for Extra Care Housing and noted the annual reports for the Council’s wholly owned companies, GS Plus Ltd and Greenwich Service Solutions Ltd. The meeting also noted the Q2 budget monitor report and the mid-year treasury management and capital strategy report.

The Council welcomed two new Councillors following recent by-election successes, offered its condolences following the death of former Councillor John Cartwright, and agreed to note five petition responses and the answers to 36 written questions. The Council adopted a new gambling policy and noted the Royal Borough of Greenwich Strategic Risk Register, the Treasury and Capital Strategy mid-year update, and a revised constitution.

Audit and Risk Management Panel - Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024 6.30 pm

The meeting began with a discussion of the Internal Audit and Anti-Fraud Performance Report April 2024 to September 2024. The Panel then reviewed and noted the Audit & Risk Management Panel - Self-Assessment and Evaluation. Following this the Panel noted the 2024/25 Treasury Management and Capital Mid-Year Update. The Panel then noted the 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards, and finally noted the Revised Internal Audit Plan 2024-25.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich's Cabinet approved new equality objectives for 2024-28, a new intermediate housing register and its strategic risk register. Cabinet also agreed to sell off a plot of land in Brookhill Road, Woolwich and to accept the surrender of two flats in Carnbrook Road, Kidbrooke. The Cabinet also agreed to send a revised gambling policy to the full council for a final decision.
