Call In Hearing, Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 19th August 2025 7.00 pm
The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee convened to address a call-in regarding a cabinet decision on the Sustainability Strategy Review. Councillor Rosie Humphreys initiated the call-in, supported by several other councillors, to enable scrutiny of the implications of resolutions endorsed by the cabinet on 16 July 2025. The committee was scheduled to consider whether to refer the decision back to the cabinet, refer the matter to the full council, or take no further action.
Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday 12th August 2025 10.00 am
The Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee were scheduled to convene a meeting to discuss a premises licence review application for Prahova, a shop located at 5 Campbell Street, Northampton. The review was requested by Northamptonshire Police, citing concerns over the prevention of crime and disorder. Councillors were to consider the application and determine what steps, if any, to take.
Non-Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday 7th August 2025 6.00 pm
The West Northamptonshire Council Non-Strategic Planning Committee met on 7 August 2025 to discuss several planning applications and related matters. The committee approved applications for 8 Stimpson Avenue, 6 Banbury Lane, and Linfield, Duncote Road, while refusing applications for 4 Ivy Road and 45 Greenfield Avenue, contrary to officer recommendations.
