Environment, Economic Growth and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 23rd October, 2025 10.00 am
The Environment, Economic Growth and Transport Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Transport Asset Management Plan (TAMP), and to consider the committee's work programme for 2025-26. The committee agreed to investigate options for developer contributions to highways improvements, and decided to defer decisions on several in-year requests for the work programme, pending further information.

The upcoming Full Council meeting is set to address a variety of topics, including community safety, the members' allowance scheme, and the annual review of overview and scrutiny. Councillors will also discuss committee appointments, the Lancashire County Pension Fund, and the council's meeting schedule for 2026/27.
Environment, Economic Growth and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 11th September, 2025 10.00 am
The Environment, Economic Growth and Transport Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Transport Asset Management Plan (TAMP), the processing of Definitive Map Modification Orders, and the committee's work programme for 2025/26. Councillors agreed to review the TAMP refresh at their next meeting in October and requested more information on the council's approach to processing applications to modify definitive maps[^1], the legal record of public rights of way. The committee also decided to hold a separate meeting to discuss potential additions to their work programme.
Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 10.30 am
The Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Priority Action Plan, the SEND Strategy, and the SEND Local Offer. Councillors agreed to set up an online meeting to discuss the SEND strategy before it goes to cabinet in October, and requested an update in January on the reduction of the casework backlog. The committee also requested more information on support for siblings of children with SEND, and for parents who do not have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Full Council - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 1.00 pm
Lancashire County Council's Full Council met on 17 July 2025, and among other things, approved the Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and agreed to review its policy on flying flags over council property, prioritising the Union Flag, the Flag of England, the Lancashire Flag, royal flags, and military flags and ensigns. The council also discussed the financial challenges it faces, and heard questions from councillors and members of the public.
