The Full Council of Lancashire Council is scheduled to meet on 20 November 2025 to discuss local government reorganisation, committee appointments, and updates to the council's constitution. The Lancashire County Council Regulatory Committee met on Wednesday 12 November 2025 to discuss several matters relating to public rights of way. These included the review of the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way[^1], and a number of investigations into upgrading, extinguishment, creation and diversion of footpaths.

Regulatory Committee - Wednesday, 17th September, 2025 10.30 am
The Regulatory Committee of Lancashire County Council met to discuss several matters relating to public rights of way, including definitive map modification orders and diversion of footpaths. The committee approved making orders for changes to public footpaths and bridleways at Higher Simpson Fold, Eyes Lane, Coronation Field, Written Stone Farm and The Weald. They also discussed a progress report on previous committee items and guidance for committee members.

Lancashire County Council's Full Council met on 17 July 2025, and among other things, approved the Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and agreed to review its policy on flying flags over council property, prioritising the Union Flag, the Flag of England, the Lancashire Flag, royal flags, and military flags and ensigns. The council also discussed the financial challenges it faces, and heard questions from councillors and members of the public.
