Variation of a premises licence: The Log Cabin, Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone E11, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 3.30 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee considered an application by Mr Yasin Siddiqi to vary the premises licence of The Log Cabin, Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone, E11 1NR. The Sub-Committee granted the application in part, allowing The Log Cabin to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises only between 12:00 and 21:00, Monday to Sunday. The Sub-Committee refused the request to extend the opening hours to 05:00.

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence by Mr Shpresim Maloku for the Scorpion Bar & Lounge, 7 Hall Lane, Chingford. The committee granted the application, but with significantly reduced hours from those requested and a number of new conditions.

This meeting was scheduled to be a joint meeting of the Waltham Forest Health and Wellbeing Board and the Health and Care Partnership Board. The meeting was scheduled to discuss topics including the partnership’s joint business plan, the Promoting Wellbeing workstream, the council's response to the recommendations made in the Waltham Forest Marmot Review and a quarterly report on the Better Care Fund.

Crematorium Scheme, Executive Decision - Wednesday, 8th January, 2025 11.00 am

The Executive Decision meeting of Waltham Forest Council on Wednesday 8 January 2025 approved an increase in the budget for the Chingford Mount Crematorium development. The meeting also noted the progress made on the design and delivery programme for the new facility.
