Non-Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday 4th December 2025 6.00 pm

The Non-Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council met to discuss several planning applications, approving developments in Long Buckby Wharf, Kislingbury, Hellidon and Northampton, while also rejecting one application in Northampton. A decision on one application, concerning Rye Hill Lodge, was withdrawn.

The West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 27 November 2025 at The Guildhall, Northampton. The agenda included discussion of the Local Government Pension Scheme, the Youth Justice Plan, changes to committee places, and a new public mortuary. Councillors were also expected to discuss motions on rural road safety, family support, blue badges[^2] and digital IDs.

Democracy and Standards Committee - Thursday 13th November 2025 6.00 pm

The Democracy and Standards Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss proposed amendments to the council's constitution, review the constitution, and review the committee's work programme.

Cabinet - Tuesday 11th November 2025 6.00 pm

West Northamptonshire Council's Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including housing management, budget adjustments for the Market Square project, and several annual reports related to safeguarding and education. The Cabinet approved a phased approach to bring housing services management back into the council, an increase to the Market Square capital budget, and the adoption of a policy statement for supporting children unable to attend school.

Cabinet - Monday 13th October 2025 6.00 pm

At a meeting of the West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet, members approved a new Family Help Strategy, endorsed an updated approach to locality-based prevention, and approved several service plans related to health protection and enforcement. The Cabinet also agreed to exclude the press and public to discuss the restoration of property for service use.
