Royal Greenwich Council met in December 2025 to discuss a range of issues, including approving a draft local plan for consultation, adopting a revised licensing policy, and addressing community safety and road repairs through dedicated motions. The Planning Board met to discuss eight planning and licensing applications, approving all of them with amendments to some conditions. The most significant decisions concerned a new community sports facility in Eltham, and a large mixed-use development in Woolwich.

Planning Board - Tuesday, 18th November, 2025 6.30 pm

The Planning Board convened to discuss planning applications, focusing primarily on amendments to a previously approved mixed-use development. Councillors approved the amended application for land bound by Vincent Road, Wilmot Street and Woolwich New Road, which includes increasing building heights and the number of residential units, and reducing commercial space. An application relating to Stadium Road and Baker Road was withdrawn.

Inclusive Economy and Culture Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 6th November, 2025 6.30 pm

The Inclusive Economy and Culture Scrutiny Panel were scheduled to meet to discuss the borough's markets, high streets and shopping parades. The panel were expected to review the implementation of the Market Improvement Plan, and the council's approach to the management of small parades. They were also scheduled to consider the scope of reports for the meeting in January 2026.

Council - Wednesday, 29th October, 2025 7.00 pm

The council meeting held on 29 October 2025 included discussion of petitions, changes to executive function schemes of delegation, and several motions concerning local issues. Councillors were also scheduled to answer questions from the public and from other members.
