The Cabinet of Doncaster Council decided on 28/10/2026 to approve updated arrangements for the South Yorkshire Airport City programme. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Service Director Legal and Democratic Services and the Service Director Finance & Technology to finalise and implement necessary legal agreements and actions. This included approving changes to FlyDoncaster Ltd's shareholding and governance, transferring leasehold interests, approving asset and contract transfers, commencing employee consultation, and approving an agreement with SYMCA.

The Cabinet decided to approve the 2026-2029 Corporate Parenting Strategy on 07/10/2026. The strategy sets out the council's responsibilities for children in care and care leavers. It includes priorities for voice, rights, influence, love, stability, belonging, health, wellbeing, education, aspiration, achievement, preparation for adulthood, and the care leaver offer.

The Cabinet decided to approve and agree to the publication of the 2026-2031 Dementia Strategy on 07/10/2026. The strategy aims to make Doncaster the most dementia-friendly city in the UK.

The Cabinet decided to adopt the refreshed Get Doncaster Moving Strategy on 07/10/2026. The strategy aims to support residents to be physically active and ensure partners provide support to achieve its vision. The GDM Advisory Board and subgroups will oversee the delivery of the strategy.

The Cabinet of Doncaster Council decided on 07 October 2026 to approve the recommissioning of the Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service. This decision was made in collaboration with the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, Sheffield City Council, and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. The Cabinet delegated approval of the Heads of Terms and Collaborative Partnership Agreement to the Director of Adults, Wellbeing and Culture.
