Policy and Performance Review Board - Tuesday, 21 October 2025 7.00 pm

The Policy and Performance Review Board (PPRB) met to discuss management of highway grass verges, the community toilet scheme, domestic retrofits, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The board agreed to several recommendations, including further investigation of resident concerns regarding grass verge management, exploring options to improve the community toilet scheme, and continuing to monitor the implementation of domestic retrofit initiatives. The board also requested a follow-up report on AI in the coming years.

Council - Tuesday, 7 October 2025 7.00 pm

The Richmond upon Thames Council met to discuss a range of issues, including the adoption of the Local Plan, financial strategies, and motions related to council tax and sanctuary seekers. After debate, the council adopted the Local Plan and passed the motion on sanctuary seekers, but rejected a motion concerning council tax reductions and another about the council's approach to managing a deficit in funding for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Committee - Tuesday, 16 September 2025 7.00 pm

The Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Committee convened to discuss several key issues, including the adoption of the Richmond upon Thames Local Plan, flood resilience work at Barnes Green, and updates to the sport, leisure, and physical activity strategy. The committee agreed to recommend the adoption of the Richmond upon Thames Local Plan to the full council, approved flood resilience work at Barnes Green, and endorsed the year two action plan for the sport, leisure and physical activity strategy.

Councillors agreed to send a letter to the borough's three MPs regarding voter ID, and also discussed key performance indicators relating to domestic violence, planning appeals, and domestic retrofit. The board also reviewed the committee work programme.

The Richmond upon Thames Council met to discuss several topics, including the approval of minutes, announcements, declarations of interest, petitions, public questions, member's questions, reports of the council's committees, a debate on opposition priority business, reports on joint arrangements and external organisations, reports of the Head of Paid Service, and notices of motion. The council adopted the Richmond upon Thames Climate and Nature Strategy 2025-2030, and rejected a motion to abolish the committee system of governance. A motion on parking charges for large vehicles was also rejected, and a motion on the impact of fair funding review was approved.
