Planning Committee - Wednesday, 5th November, 2025 7.00 pm

The Sutton Council Planning Committee is scheduled to meet on 5 November 2025 to discuss several planning applications, including the demolition and erection of buildings for educational and commercial use, as well as extensions to existing nursing homes and schools. The committee will also review the minutes from its 1 October 2025 meeting[^1] and a report from the Design Review Panel regarding the Northern Gateway Site.

The Sutton Council meeting scheduled for 3 November 2025 included discussion of Houses in Multiple Occupation, a motion to support diversity, and the annual report of the Audit and Governance Committee. Councillors were also expected to answer questions.

The Sutton Council Planning Committee met to discuss three planning applications, ultimately approving one and rejecting two. The approved application allows for the demolition of a bungalow and the construction of four dwellings, while the committee rejected applications to convert two properties into houses in multiple occupation (HMO).

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Monday, 29th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Council of the London Borough of Sutton is holding an extraordinary meeting on Monday, 29 September 2025. Councillors will be asked to designate a permanent Monitoring Officer, and to note the interim arrangements in place until that officer starts in post.

Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee - Thursday, 18th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee met to discuss a range of local issues, including Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMOs), crime and community safety, and updates on local matters such as the London Cancer Hub and gas works. The committee received presentations from Citizens Advice Sutton and Parkinson's Sutton, Kingston & Epsom. They also reviewed written updates on land classification and trading standards activities.
