The Planning Sub-Committee of Hackney Council noted the delegated decisions document for the 17 July to 20 August 2026 period on 02 September 2026. This included the approval of advertisement consent for 3 Blackstock Road and 92 Stamford Hill, and full planning permission for 81 Blackstock Road and Derbin Court. Decisions also included granting, refusing, or noting no objection for various planning applications and tree works across multiple wards.

The Planning Sub-Committee decided to defer the application on 02/09/2026. The decision was made to request further information to be brought back to the committee at a later date.

The Planning Sub-Committee of Hackney Council granted planning permission for the Castle Climbing Centre on 02 September 2026. The decision approved the demolition of an existing timber shelter and the temporary use of a timber sauna, subject to conditions. This included an additional condition for an investigation into access alternatives.

The Planning Sub-Committee of Hackney Council approved the minutes of the previous meeting held on April 29, 2026. The committee also resolved to grant planning permission for developments at 1-2 Furrow Lane and 16-24 Orsman Road, subject to conditions and legal agreements. For the Furrow Lane development, a demolition and construction management plan was required, and for Orsman Road, a Section 106 agreement would secure 10% affordable workspace.

Hackney Council's Appointments Committee resolved to approve the establishment of an Appointments Sub Committee for the recruitment of an Executive Director for Adults Health & Integration on 05/08/2026. The sub committee will comprise Cllr Rachel Nkiessu-Guifo, Mayor Zoë Garbett, Cllr Izzy Castello-Cortes, Cllr Florence Schechter, Cllr George Sheldon Grün, and Cllr Robert Chapman.
