The Human Resources Committee met to discuss a corporate director's update, senior recruitment, employee relations, and savings from early retirement and voluntary redundancy. The committee approved the extension of interim arrangements for the Director of Governance to 31 December 2025. A report on the people survey was also noted, with a decision to move into a closed session for further discussion.

Audit Committee - Monday, 28th July, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Audit Committee convened to discuss key governance and financial matters, including the appointment of a vice-chair, the approval of the audit committee's terms of reference, and the review of the 2024-25 draft statement of accounts. The Overview & Scrutiny Committee in Tower Hamlets met to discuss the Strategic Delivery Performance Report for Quarter 4, the Budget Monitoring Report for 2024/25, and the Strategic Vision 2035 Development and Engagement plan. Councillors raised concerns about recycling rates, the council's overspend on homelessness services, and the timetable for the new strategic vision.
