Budget Scrutiny Task Group - Tuesday 21st January, 2025 6.30 pm

This meeting of the Budget Scrutiny Task Group was scheduled to discuss the council's General Fund and Housing Revenue Account budgets for 2025/26. The agenda included presentations on the provisional Local Government Finance Settlement, proposed savings and investment proposals, and an update on the budget gap.

Budget Scrutiny Task Group - Wednesday 4th December, 2024 6.30 pm

This meeting was to discuss the Council’s proposed capital programme, including both General Fund and Housing Revenue Account budgets. The Budget Scrutiny Task Group considered reports on an overview of the Capital Programme, and the programmes for each Executive Leadership Team.

Audit and Performance Committee - Monday 25th November, 2024 6.30 pm

The meeting was scheduled to discuss the City Council's finances, performance, fraud prevention and control framework, and policies for tackling fraud. Topics included the performance of the Council against its key performance indicators, a review of the Council's financial position, a review of the Treasury Management Strategy, the approval of changes to the Council's counter-fraud policies and consideration of reports on Internal Audit progress and the Counter Fraud Service.

Budget Scrutiny Task Group - Thursday 14th November, 2024 6.30 pm

The Budget Scrutiny Task Group met to discuss the council's Medium Term Financial Plan, including the potential impacts of the recent Autumn Budget statement and proposals for new savings, investments and fees. The meeting also included presentations on the Environment & Communities and Regeneration, Economy and Planning directorates, and their proposed budgets for 2025/26.

Council - Wednesday 13th November, 2024 7.00 pm

The Council agreed to readopt the existing Gambling Policy for a further three years, to change the structure of the committees that make planning decisions, to grant Councillor Concia Albert dispensation from attending meetings, and to set the schedule for the Council's meetings in 2025-2026.
