Inclusive Economy and Culture Scrutiny Panel - Wednesday, 27th November, 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting of the Inclusive Economy and Culture Scrutiny Panel was scheduled to include pre-decision scrutiny of an anti-poverty strategy, a presentation about the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust, and a discussion of the council's approach to apprenticeships and supporting young people into employment.
Local Planning Committee - Tuesday, 26th November, 2024 6.30 pm
The Local Planning Committee approved two planning applications at 24 Lucknow Street in Plumstead, and at land to the rear of 182–184 Avery Hill Road in Avery Hill, subject to conditions. The Committee also approved an application at 113 Gregory Crescent in Eltham.
Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 30th October, 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee included discussion of the Council's progress on delivering the Equality and Equity Action Plan, as well as a quarterly update on predicted budget savings for 2024/25. The Committee were also asked to note the details of the upcoming Forward Plan, which included a number of upcoming decisions to be made by the Council in the coming months, and were also asked to consider commissioning a report on the progress of the Council’s Carbon Neutral Plan for the meeting on 28 November 2024.

Local Planning Committee - Tuesday, 22nd October, 2024 6.30 pm
The Local Planning Committee refused permission for ASDA Stores Limited to alter the opening hours of the commercial unit at 123 Greenwich South Street. The Committee deferred their decision on the application by Mr Held for the change of use of 24 Lucknow Street in Plumstead to a five-bedroom small House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) with a maximum capacity of six people. The Committee approved an application by Ms I Cooke for the construction of a single storey rear extension at 43 The Slade in Plumstead. The Committee also approved an application by Plumstead Manor School to change the use of a car park at Plumstead Manor School to a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
