The Planning and Regulation Committee convened to discuss various traffic regulation orders and two significant planning applications. Councillors approved a local impact report and formally objected to the Beacon Fen Energy Park development, while also deferring a decision on a quarry application near Caistor.

Council - Friday, 12th September, 2025 10.30 am

Councillor Stephen Bunney, Chairman of the Council, opened the meeting with tributes to former councillors and staff, before councillors moved to discuss the financial performance review, the youth justice plan, and a motion regarding asylum seekers. Councillors approved the Lincolnshire Youth Justice Plan 2025-28, and voted to approve an amended motion regarding the location of asylum seekers in the county. They also approved the calendar of meetings for 2026/27, and made appointments to committees and outside bodies.

Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 8th September, 2025 10.00 am

The Lincolnshire County Council's Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee met on 8 September 2025, and members reviewed the regional rail strategy, highways performance, major projects, and road safety initiatives. The committee supported a recommendation to approve the proposed Bailgate, Lincoln Scheme, and also supported the proposed recommendation to approve the Spalding – Pinchbeck Active Travel Cycleway tender award. The committee also supported recommendations to approve three strategic resurfacing schemes for the A6121 Ryhall Road, Stamford, the A17/A151 Holbeach and Fleet Hargate, and the A52 Leverton and Haltoft End.

RECONVENED from 30th July 2025, Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority - Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 4th September, 2025 2.00 pm

The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss its role and remit, work programme, and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Transport Plan. The committee reviewed and commented on its role and remit, and considered its work programme, highlighting areas for potential scrutiny. They also discussed the Greater Lincolnshire Local Transport Plan, providing feedback on its development.

Lincolnshire Joint Local Access Forum - Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025 2.00 pm

The Lincolnshire Joint Local Access Forum met to discuss a range of issues relating to public rights of way, including a review of the Definitive Map Modification Order (DMMO) prioritisation policy, membership of the King Charles III Coast Path Partnership, encouraging parish council engagement, permissive paths, and design criteria for diversions and new path orders. The forum agreed to send details of Anglian Water's response regarding the reservoir to members, and also agreed to County Councillor Carl Peter Edgoose-Zagorskiy becoming the deputy chair.
