The Pension Committee of Sutton Council met on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, to discuss the Fund's Responsible Investment Policy, the Business Plan and Budget for the upcoming years, and updates on pension administration performance and projects. The meeting also covered governance and risk, the triennial valuation and funding strategy, audit outcomes for the Pension Fund accounts, quarterly investment performance, and the implementation of the investment strategy.

North East Surrey Crematorium Board - Tuesday, 10th March, 2026 10.30 am

The North East Surrey Crematorium Board met on 10 March 2026 to review the Surveyor's report on the crematorium's management and operations for the quarter ending February 2026, and to consider the Treasurer's report on financial matters. The meeting agenda also included the approval of minutes from the previous meeting and a discussion on the exclusion of the press and public for certain items.

The Sutton Shareholdings Board met on 10 March 2026 to discuss and approve business plans and budgets for three of the council's subsidiary companies: Sutton Decentralised Energy Network (SDEN), Cognus, and Sutton Living Limited (SLL). Key decisions included the approval of SDEN's three-year business plan and budget, noting Cognus's progress and financial position, and approving SLL's ten-year business plan and 2026/27 budget.

Budget Council, Council - Monday, 2nd March, 2026 7.00 pm

The Council meeting on Monday 2 March 2026 saw the approval of the 2026-2029 Medium-Term Financial Plan and the 2026-27 Budget, which includes a 4.99% increase in Council Tax. The meeting also included a vote of thanks to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Louise Phelan, and to retiring councillors.
