Planning Sub-Committee (1) - Tuesday 7th January, 2025 6.30 pm

The Planning Sub-Committee (1) of Westminster Council met on Tuesday 7th January 2025 to consider two planning applications. The committee granted conditional planning permission for alterations and changes of use at Park House on Oxford Street. For the application at 10 Greycoat Place, the committee resolved that had an appeal against non-determination not been received, planning permission would have been granted, with an amendment to a condition regarding planting.

Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 5th December, 2024 7.00 pm

The 5 December meeting of the Housing and Regeneration Policy and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to include reports on a finding of severe maladministration by the Housing Ombudsman Service, and the challenges faced by the Council in implementing regeneration schemes.

Young People, Learning and Employment Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 3rd December, 2024 6.30 pm

This meeting was about the adoption of the committee's work programme for the next year, and the consideration of several reports about services for children and young people in Westminster. The meeting also included the consideration of a report about libraries, but because it was deemed to be confidential, we do not know what was said about it.

Council - Wednesday 13th November, 2024 7.00 pm

The Council agreed to readopt the existing Gambling Policy for a further three years, to change the structure of the committees that make planning decisions, to grant Councillor Concia Albert dispensation from attending meetings, and to set the schedule for the Council's meetings in 2025-2026.

Young People, Learning and Employment Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 1st October, 2024 6.30 pm

The committee received and discussed reports on Shaping Services for Children with Disabilities, and on the work carried out by the Care Leavers Task Group, and approved the recommendations in both reports. The committee also discussed its work programme for 2024-2025, and agreed that an update on schools and falling school rolls, as well as on the results of a recent Youth Offending Team inspection would be provided to the committee. Additionally the committee agreed that the unallocated item on Free School Meals would be included as a substantive item on a future work programme. The committee then moved into a closed session to discuss The Future of Leisure Management in Westminster.
