The Lancashire Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met on Monday 17th November 2025 for their annual general meeting. The agenda included an update on SACRE membership, a review of their development plan, and a discussion of a statement from the National Association of Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education (NASACRE) regarding curriculum and assessment. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss working towards achieving a Westhill or Culham St Gabriels Award.

The Lancashire SACRE - Agreed Syllabus Conference met on Monday 10 November 2025 in County Hall, Preston to discuss the review of draft primary materials. The conference was also scheduled to confirm the minutes of their previous meeting, and to discuss the date of the next meeting. They were also scheduled to discuss the exclusion of the press and public from the meeting.

The Lancashire Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss membership updates, the status of Lancashire Humanists, and the SACRE Development Plan. The council voted against a proposal to grant Lancashire Humanists full membership in Representative Group 1. Members also reviewed and updated the SACRE Development Plan 2023-2025.

SACRE - Agreed Syllabus Conference - Monday, 30th June, 2025 1.30 pm

The Lancashire SACRE[^1] Agreed Syllabus Conference met on Monday 30 June 2025 to discuss the progress of the new Religious Education syllabus. Members reviewed draft primary curricular materials and the Key Stage 3 strategy, and discussed the next steps for completion, consultation, and launch of the syllabus.

The Lancashire Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss membership updates, the SACRE newsletter, collective worship training, the curriculum and assessment review, a North West SACRE Hub meeting, and summer term school visits. Due to a lack of attendees, the meeting was inquorate[^1] and no decisions were taken. The council did express their gratitude to County Councillor Anne Cheetham and County Councillor Stewart Jones, who were not standing for re-election at the forthcoming county council elections on 1 May.
