Health & Adults Scrutiny Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 3rd September, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Health and Adult Scrutiny Sub-Committee were presented with three presentations; one on the preparation for the forthcoming Care Quality Commission inspection of Adult Social Care, one on sexual health provision in Tower Hamlets and one on smoking cessation. The committee then noted the proposed work programme for 2024-25.
Strategic Development Committee - Wednesday, 28th August, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Strategic Development Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met on Wednesday 28 August 2024 and made two decisions. A decision on application PA/22/00731 at 4-5 Harbour Exchange Square was deferred so that the applicant could be asked to consider whether the number of family-sized homes that the scheme would provide could be increased. An application, PA/23/02375, for the redevelopment of the former Westferry Printworks at 235 West Ferry Road was approved subject to conditions and the completion of a Section 106 legal agreement. A decision on application PA/21/02707 at the Whitechapel Road Development Site was deferred to allow committee members to undertake a site visit.
Strategic Development Committee - Tuesday, 16th July, 2024 6.30 p.m.
The Strategic Development Committee approved planning permission and listed building consent for redevelopment of the former London Chest Hospital on Bonner Road, and approved the Council's observations on a Reserved Matters Application for Plot 1 of the Bishopsgate Goodsyard development. The committee deferred a decision on a planning application for a residential development at 4 & 5 Harbour Exchange Square pending a site visit. Councillor Iqbal Hossain was appointed as Vice-Chair of the committee for the municipal year 2024/25.
