Joint Overview and Scrutiny Committee on Health - Thursday, 25th July, 2024 10.00 am

This meeting of the North Central London Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee included a scheduled update on the ‘Start Well’ programme which consulted on changes to maternity, neonatal and children’s surgery services. There was also scheduled discussion on access to primary care services and an update on dental services in North Central London.

Council - Thursday, 11th July, 2024 7.15 pm

The meeting of the full council approved the minutes of the previous meeting and agreed to several appointments to committees. Councillors also debated a petition to redevelop the Sunnyside Community Center, and heard a deputation from the Friends of Barnard Park about traffic and parking in the park.

Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 8th July, 2024 7.30 pm

The Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee met and discussed the performance of Adult Social Care, the performance of Moorfields Eye Hospital, and the Committee's workplan for 2024-25. The Committee noted the reports on Adult Social Care, and Moorfields but asked for more information about the transition between Children and Adult Social Care to be brought to their next meeting. The Committee resolved to approve their workplan for 2024-25.

Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 6th June, 2024 7.30 pm

The committee agreed to note the minutes of the previous meeting and to note a report on the new Islington Check-Ins performance management process. They also provisionally agreed their work plan for the year, and asked officers to prepare a draft scrutiny initiation document on the topic of How the council uses its resources to enhance social capital .

The North Central London Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting was scheduled to receive quality accounts for three local NHS trusts: Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Whittington Health NHS Trust and North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.
