The East Sub-Area Planning Committee met to discuss three planning applications and an appeals report. Outline planning permission was granted for Knowlton Holdings Ltd to build up to 92 residential dwellings in Wadebridge, subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement[^2]. The committee also voted to grant permission in principle for a residential development comprising nine dwellings in Bude. However, outline planning permission was refused for the construction of a self-build dwelling in Launceston, despite the support of Councillor Adam Paynter, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Resources and Group Leader - Independent Group.

Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee - Friday, 1st August, 2025 10.00 am

The Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss the budget, and receive an update from the General Manager. Items for discussion included the 2024-25 budget outturn, the 2025-26 budget monitoring report, and the General Manager's quarterly report. The meeting was also scheduled to include the election of a joint chairman for both Cornwall and Plymouth.

Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 29th July, 2025 10.00 am

The Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council farms strategy, approve the committee's work programme for the coming year, and hear updates from cabinet members. The committee approved recommendations for a workshop on the council farms strategy, the work programme, and actions for the Cabinet Member for Transport. The committee also heard updates on the Pydar regeneration project in Truro and Newquay Spaceport.

Appeals Committee - Monday, 28th July, 2025 10.00 am

The Cornwall Council Appeals Committee convened to discuss several items, including the election of a chairman, declarations of interest, and the minutes from the previous meeting. The main focus of the meeting was to address appeals related to school transport for students attending various schools across Cornwall. Due to the confidential nature of the information, the press and public were scheduled to be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of these appeals.

Also on the agenda was the Audit Committee Annual Report, re-appointment of a Harbours Board member, and the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Licensing Policy.
