The Policy and Resources Cabinet Committee was scheduled to meet on 13 November 2025 to discuss the adoption of a new commercial strategy, budget planning for 2026-27, and an update on the decant of Invicta House into Sessions House. The committee was also expected to review commercial and procurement performance, and receive an update on the Department of Local Government Efficiency.

County Council - Thursday, 6th November, 2025 10.00 am

Kent County Council (KCC) met to discuss local government reorganisation, the council's strategic direction, and pressing issues such as social care funding and NHS pressures. The council approved its strategic statement, Reforming Kent 2025-2028, and debated a motion on the NHS and social care crisis, but did not vote on KCC's strategic business case for local government reorganisation in Kent and Medway.

Governance and Audit Committee - Thursday, 30th October, 2025 10.00 am

The Governance and Audit Committee convened to discuss the 2024/25 draft statement of accounts, the external auditor's findings, and risk management, focusing on financial sustainability and governance. The committee reviewed reports from Grant Thornton, addressed concerns about spending and savings in adult social care and the Dedicated Schools Grant, and considered the implications of these issues for the council's long-term financial health. The committee also approved the extension of Dr David Horne's term of office as Independent Member to the end of March 2026.
