Budget Meeting, Surrey Police and Crime Panel - Monday, 3 February 2025 10.30 am
The Surrey Police and Crime Panel met to discuss the appointment of a co-opted independent member, the draft Police and Crime plan 2025-28, the Surrey Police group financial report, and the proposed Surrey Police precept for 2025-26. The panel approved the appointment of Mrs. Samantha Sheriff as a co-opted independent member. The draft Police and Crime plan was reviewed and debated, but not formally adopted, and a letter summarising the panel's views will be sent to the Police and Crime Commissioner by 8 February 2025. The panel noted the financial report, which showed a small underspend on revenue and a larger underspend on capital. The panel did not endorse the Police and Crime Commissioner's proposed precept of £14, but it also declined to veto it.

The Planning and Regulatory Committee approved two applications by CAPA Public Works Ltd. to extend the lifespan of the Addlestone Quarry, near New Haw, by nine years, from the end of 2020 until the end of 2029. Both applications were for amendments to existing planning permissions, one relating to the continued extraction of sand and gravel at the quarry, and the other relating to the continued use of an on-site Aggregates Recycling Facility (ARF).

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Wednesday, 8 January 2025 10.00 am
Surrey Council agreed to respond to the Government's request to participate in a joint devolution and local government reorganisation programme. This acceptance will likely mean that the 2025 County Council elections will be postponed. The Council also noted that the decision to respond to the government's letter was an executive decision for the Leader of the Council to make.
Planning and Regulatory Committee - Wednesday, 18 December 2024 10.30 am
The meeting considered two applications, the first for a new Special Educational Needs building at St. John the Baptist School, Woking, and the second for an application for Town or Village Green (TVG) status for Leach Grove Wood in Leatherhead. The committee approved the application to build a new Special Educational Needs building, and rejected the application for TVG status for Leach Grove Wood.
