Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 5th June, 2025 7.30 pm
The Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee (CRESC) convened to finalise a report on progressive procurement and to select a topic for scrutiny in the coming year. The committee agreed to focus its next scrutiny on addressing poverty and inequality, with an emphasis on identifying barriers to accessing council services for vulnerable groups.

At the Annual Council meeting, Councillor Jason Jackson was elected as Mayor of Islington, becoming the first black man to hold the post. Councillor Rosalyn Ngongoro was appointed as Deputy Mayor, and councillors were assigned to various committees and outside organisations. The council also formally appointed Paul Clarke as Interim Section 151 Officer[^1].
Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 29th April, 2025 7.30 pm
Councillor Jilani Chowdhury, Chair of the Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee, oversaw a meeting where the committee reviewed performance updates from the Whittington Hospital and University College London Hospitals (UCLH), discussed quality assurance in home care, and considered the Adult Social Care (ASC) Quarter 3 performance report. The committee also approved draft recommendations from a scrutiny review.
