The Croydon Council Planning Sub-Committee met on 6 November 2025, to discuss three planning applications. A proposal for a new dwelling on Blenheim Crescent was refused due to its impact on the character of the area and neighbouring properties. A retrospective application relating to a property on Northampton Road was withdrawn from consideration, and an application concerning alterations to a property on Hartley Down was approved.
General Purposes Committee - Tuesday, 4th November, 2025 6.30 pm
The Croydon Council's General Purposes Committee met to discuss and approve a 3.2% increase to the Members' Allowance Scheme, and to agree the schedule of council meetings for 2026-27. The committee voted to recommend both items to the full council for final approval.
Council - Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025 6.30 pm
At a meeting of Croydon Council, the lead commissioner gave a statement on behalf of the commissioners, the council approved recommendations regarding external audit findings and extension to the term of the Independent Chair of Audit and Governance Committee, and councillors debated traffic calming measures on Spa Hill and improvements to Courtwood Park. The council also discussed a range of questions from the public, including concerns about building safety at The Fold and Malcolm Wicks House.
