The Grants Determination (Cabinet) Sub-Committee met on 9 April 2025, and approved changes to the application process for the Emergency Fund, and noted a performance report on the Mayor’s Community Grant Programme (MCGP). The Sub-Committee also noted a report on funding that had been allocated to voluntary and community sector organisations under delegated authority.

The Appointments Sub Committee met to interview candidates for the position of Director of Homelessness and Housing Options, a role that has been filled on an interim basis since August 2024. The agenda also included the confirmation of minutes from a previous meeting. The Appointments Sub Committee was scheduled to meet to interview candidates for the role of Director of Regeneration, Housing Supply and Assets. The report pack included the agenda, the minutes of the previous meeting, and a report on the candidates who had been shortlisted. The Chief Executive of Tower Hamlets was scheduled to present a final interview report.

Cabinet - Wednesday, 26th March, 2025 3.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Cabinet, led by Mayor Lutfur Rahman, convened to discuss a range of strategic and financial matters, including budget monitoring, endorsement of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 report, and bringing estates parking enforcement services in-house. The cabinet approved the Annual Delivery Plan for 2025/26, strategic delivery and performance report, budget monitoring report, and several other key decisions.
