The General Purposes Committee met on Tuesday 17 June 2025, to elect a vice-chair, approve the minutes from the previous meeting, note the committee's terms of reference, and approve nominations for local authority governors at maintained schools in Tower Hamlets. Councillor Abdul Wahid was elected as Vice-Chair of the General Purposes Committee for the municipal year 2025/2026.

Employee Appeals Sub Committee - Monday, 16th June, 2025 6.00 p.m.

The Employee Appeals Sub Committee was scheduled to convene to discuss an appeal against an employee dismissal. The meeting was also scheduled to cover procedural items such as declarations of interest and the exclusion of the press and public due to the confidential nature of the business to be discussed.

Housing Management (Cabinet) Sub-Committee - Wednesday, 4th June, 2025 5.30 p.m.

The Housing Management Cabinet Sub-Committee convened to discuss key performance indicators, landlord compliance, tenant engagement, and strategic risks. The committee approved proposed risk management methodology and targets for the Housing Management Service, while also addressing concerns regarding repairs, complaints, void property turnaround times, and policy frameworks. The importance of resident involvement and satisfaction was a recurring theme throughout the meeting.

This meeting will start at either 5:45pm or 15 mins afterthe raise of the Housing Management (Cabinet) Sub Committee, King George's Field Charity Board - Wednesday, 4th June, 2025 5.45 p.m.

The King George's Field Charity Board was scheduled to meet to discuss finance, activity and governance updates, review fees and charges for 2025/26, and receive an update on commercial property. The board was also expected to note its terms of reference, membership and quorum for 2025/2026. Some of the information relating to commercial leases was marked as exempt from publication.

Human Resources Committee - Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Human Resources Committee was scheduled to discuss senior recruitment, employee relations, and the gender pay gap, as well as setting the terms of reference for the next municipal year. They were also scheduled to discuss a briefing note on the Housing Options team. Some of the items were for noting only.
