Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 13th November, 2025 10.00 am
The Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee of Cornwall Council met to discuss a range of topics, including the Resources and Waste Strategy Delivery Plan, the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service People Culture and Leadership Programme review, and the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Capital Replacement Programme for 2025-26. Cabinet - Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 10.00 am
The Cornwall Council Cabinet met to discuss the Council Performance Report for Quarter 2 of 2025/26, the Draft Council Priorities Plan 2026-30, and several strategies and commissioning plans. The cabinet approved the draft Council Priorities 2026-2030 for public consultation, and also approved the Home Based Prevention and Intermediate Care Business Case, and to commence a procurement process for Sexual and Reproductive Health Services. They also formally adopted the 'Our Customer Philosophy 2025-2030' and the 'CornwALL Connected Digital Inclusion Strategy 2025-2030'.
Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 11th November, 2025 10.00 am
The Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Newquay Airport development strategy, review the Cormac Small Highways Scheme, and conduct a mid-year review of the committee's work programme. The committee acknowledged the progress on the Newquay Airport Development Strategy and recommended a highways-specific value for money review of the council's Highways Service, including delivery by Cormac. They also endorsed the continuation of the 20mph roll out across Cornwall at a prior meeting on 7 October 2025[^1].
