Cabinet - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 2.00 pm
At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council Cabinet, members approved a plan to acquire 64 homes for use as temporary accommodation, adopted an Asset Transformation Strategy to guide the use of council land and buildings, and agreed to extend the council's joint venture with Norse Group for property services. The Cabinet also agreed to begin consulting on the closure of Church Lane Car Park in Leytonstone, with a view to selling the site for redevelopment.
Annual Meeting, Council - Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 7.30 pm
The Waltham Forest Council meeting scheduled for 22 May 2025 included the election of a new Mayor, the appointment of councillors to various committees and outside bodies, and a review of the council's scheme of delegation. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss the programme of meetings for the upcoming year.

At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council Cabinet, the Inclusive Growth and Economy Framework was approved, alongside a plan to consult on changes to the Fairer Contributions Policy, and a new Housing Repairs and Maintenance Policy. The council also agreed to cease offering catering services to schools from April 2026.
Integrated Meeting of WF Health & Wellbeing and Health & Care Partnership Boards - Monday, 28th April, 2025 1.00 pm
The Integrated Meeting of the Waltham Forest Health & Wellbeing and Health & Care Partnership Boards included discussions on partnership governance, promoting wellbeing, population health, integrated neighbourhood working, and adult ADHD services. Councillor Louise Mitchell, Health and Wellbeing Board (Portfolio Lead Member - Adults and Health) was scheduled to chair the meeting. The boards were expected to look at ways to maximise the value of integrated meetings and to establish clear, measurable priorities for the period 2025-2027.
Council - Thursday, 24th April, 2025 7.30 pm
At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council, councillors approved an updated Local Development Scheme and declared a Nature Emergency in the borough. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Mohammad Asghar, father of Councillor Naheed Asghar, Portfolio Lead Member - Inclusive Economy, who had recently passed away.
