Scrutiny Management Board - Monday 22nd September, 2025 7.00 pm

At a meeting of the North Northamptonshire Council's Scrutiny Management Board, Councillor Trevor Conway was appointed chair, the Scrutiny Executive Protocol was approved, the Scrutiny Development Plan was approved, and the Scrutiny Work Programme for 2025/26 was approved. Apologies were received from Councillor Helen Howell.

Health Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 16th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Health Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Director of Public Health's annual report, focusing on the Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2024-2029, particularly progress in smoking/vaping and keeping active; members agreed to receive an update in six months on health inequalities and actions taken by local area partnerships, for public health to continue engaging the voluntary sector, and for future reports to review progress against current themes. The committee also requested a presentation on a diagram for animation encapsulating factors that impact life expectancy.

Scrutiny Management Board - Thursday 11th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The North Northamptonshire Council's Scrutiny Management Board meeting on 11 September 2025 was adjourned due to a lack of quorum. The meeting was unable to conduct any business, but the agenda included discussion and potential approval of the Scrutiny Executive Protocol 2025, the Scrutiny Development Plan 2025, and the Scrutiny Work Programme 2025/26.

Council - Wednesday 3rd September, 2025 6.00 pm

At a meeting on 3 September 2025, North Northamptonshire Council discussed a range of issues, including public health, the appointment of independent persons, and political balance on council committees. Councillors approved the Director of Public Health’s annual report, the establishment of an Independent Remuneration Panel, and a scheme for the enrolment of Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. They also voted on several motions, approving those related to planning committees and business rates, while rejecting motions concerning a planning issue in Loddington/Cransley, service harmonisation and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 2nd September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee met to discuss revisions to the council's carbon neutral target, the Anti-Social Behaviour Policy, the Zero-Emission Bus Scheme, and the Keyways Housing Allocations Scheme Review. The committee approved recommendations for each of these items, including realigning carbon neutral ambitions with the UK's net zero target by 2050 and requesting additional information and data on anti-social behaviour enforcement.
