Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 29th April 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission met to discuss emerging issues in the borough, community mental health services, and leisure services. The committee agreed to extend the meeting to allow for a full discussion on leisure services. The Declarations of interest and minutes from the previous meeting were noted and approved respectively.

Council - Monday 28th April 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Newham Council meeting on 28 April 2025 focused on the theme of Our Young People, Our Future. Councillors discussed and approved a report outlining the council's commitment to young people, debated motions related to youth services and safety, and heard updates from partner organisations and cabinet members. The council also approved the submission of a new local plan.

Council - Monday 24th March 2025 7.30 p.m.

The Newham Council meeting on 24 March 2025 included discussions on belonging and inclusion in Newham, and the adoption of a reviewed statement of licensing policy. The council also agreed to provide Councillor Mohammed Gani with a dispensation for non-attendance at meetings until 20 October 2025 due to ill health.

Council - Thursday 27th February 2025 7.00 p.m.

Newham Council approved its annual budget for 2025/26 which included a council tax rise of 8.99%. Two amendments to the budget, one from the Newham Independent Group and one from the Green Group were rejected.

Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 28th January 2025 7.00 p.m.

This meeting of Newham Council's Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Commission was scheduled to receive updates on the impact of national developments on local services, discuss the role and impact of health literacy within Newham's health and care system, consider the outcomes of Newham's Adult Social Care Peer Review, and review the Commission's work programme for the 2024/25 municipal year.
