Electoral Review Committee - Wednesday 15 October 2025 2.00 pm

The Electoral Review Committee met to discuss the upcoming Community Governance Review (CGR) for 2025/26 and decided to focus on the area board areas of Royal Wootton Bassett, Devizes, and Marlborough. The committee also delegated authority to the Director of Legal and Governance to finalise the terms of reference for the review, in consultation with the Chair and Vice-Chair.

Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 1 October 2025 3.00 pm

The Northern Area Planning Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss rights of way applications, including consideration of objections to the proposed modification of the definitive map and statement for two paths. The committee was also scheduled to review the minutes from their previous meeting.

Chippenham and Villages Area Board - Monday 15 September 2025 6.30 pm

The Chippenham and Villages Area Board met to discuss community grants, flood preparedness, local highway improvements, and other community issues. Councillors agreed to allocate funding to various local initiatives, including community projects, youth programs, and support for older and vulnerable adults. They also received updates on flood preparedness and discussed local highway and footpath improvements.

Licensing Committee - Monday 15 September 2025 10.30 am

Staffing Policy Committee - Tuesday 2 September 2025 2.00 pm

The Staffing Policy Committee met to discuss several key HR policies and updates. The committee approved amendments to policies regarding compensatory rest, annual leave, and probationary periods, and also approved a new employee volunteering scheme policy. Members also received updates on the council's apprenticeship programme, the No Excuse for Abuse of Our Staff campaign, the 2025 employee experience survey, and the upcoming Employment Rights Bill.
