At this meeting of the full council, a number of petitions and questions were presented by members of the public, two topics were debated by Councillors, a new Instrument of Governance for the Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) was approved, and a motion was passed relating to supporting pensioners struggling with the cost of living.

Shareholder Committee - Monday 22nd July, 2024 11.00 am

The Shareholder Committee met to discuss performance and governance issues relating to wholly-owned council companies Westminster Builds and Westminster Community Homes (WCH). The committee approved the appointment of Gill Matthews and Councillor Iman Less as non-executive directors to the boards of Westminster Builds and Westminster Community Homes respectively.

Pension Board - Thursday 18th July, 2024 6.30 pm

The Pension Board of Westminster Council met on the 18th July 2024 to discuss a variety of reports relating to the performance and administration of the City of Westminster Pension Fund. This included updates about the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) and McCloud projects, a new Pension Website, and several financial reports.

This meeting covered a range of topics, including regeneration schemes in North Paddington and on Oxford Street, the Seymour Leisure Centre and Abbey Community Centre, changes to the Council's Housing Solutions service and progress made against the Fairer Westminster strategy. It also included a review of the Council's finances, including revenue and capital expenditure and an update to the medium-term financial forecast.
