The Constitution Committee convened to review the Annual Governance Statement (AGS) and the Constitution, recommending approval for both with a minor amendment to the latter. The 2024-25 AGS was approved, and the Director of Corporate Resources was authorised to make necessary updates aligning with the finalised Statement of Accounts and Pension Fund, with changes reported to the Corporate Governance Committee and the Leader. Proposed changes to the Constitution were recommended for approval by the County Council, pending a change to Article 6.06.

(Extraordinary meeting), County Council - Wednesday, 12 November 2025 2.00 pm

The Leicestershire County Council convened an extraordinary meeting to address the critical matter of local government reorganisation (LGR). The primary focus was to allow the County Council to comment on the proposals for LGR, with a supplementary report containing a draft Business Case also provided. Councillors were also expected to discuss the comments of the Scrutiny Commission on the proposals.

Scrutiny Commission - Monday, 10 November 2025 10.00 am

The Scrutiny Commission were scheduled to meet to discuss local government reorganisation, the council's annual delivery report, and the annual traded services strategy. The meeting was also scheduled to cover the council's financial strategy monitoring, including revenue budget and capital programme updates. Councillors were expected to comment on a draft business case for local government reorganisation and the future direction of Beaumanor Hall.

Highways, Transport and Waste Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 6 November 2025 2.00 pm

The Highways, Transport and Waste Overview and Scrutiny Committee are scheduled to meet to discuss the next steps for delivering the Local Transport Plan (LTP4) 2025-2040, and the government's Collection and Packaging Reforms. The meeting will also include an opportunity for questions from the public and committee members.
