Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 8th July, 2025 7.30 pm

The Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee met to discuss adult social care, public health, and the work programme for the coming year. The committee agreed the final report on adult social care accommodation from the previous year, and approved the scrutiny initiation document for the coming year, which will focus on life expectancy in the borough. Members also heard from Healthwatch Islington about their annual report and work programme, and discussed the latest performance report from adult social care.

Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 17th June, 2025 7.30 pm

The Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council's response to rough sleeping and to select a scrutiny topic for the 2025/26 municipal year. The committee agreed that homelessness would be the scrutiny topic for the year, allowing for a wider scope including temporary accommodation, rent capping, and lobbying the government. They also noted the membership, terms of reference, and dates of future meetings.

Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 12th June, 2025 7.30 pm

The Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee met to discuss several reports and updates, including the Moorfields Eye Hospital annual performance, and the public health performance report for quarter three. The committee also agreed to focus its annual scrutiny review on healthy life expectancy, incorporating smoking action, healthy weight initiatives, drug and alcohol programmes, and active travel.

Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 12th May, 2025 7.30 pm

The Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the final report and recommendations for Islington Community Centres, receive an update from the Homes and Estates Safety Board, review the Housing Performance Annual Report, and hear the Executive Member's annual report on Islington libraries. The committee also discussed the draft work programme for 2025/26 and potential scrutiny topics.

Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 29th April, 2025 7.30 pm

Councillor Jilani Chowdhury, Chair of the Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee, oversaw a meeting where the committee reviewed performance updates from the Whittington Hospital and University College London Hospitals (UCLH), discussed quality assurance in home care, and considered the Adult Social Care (ASC) Quarter 3 performance report. The committee also approved draft recommendations from a scrutiny review.
