Update to the National Adult Skills Funding Rules

The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority - Employment and Skills Board decided on 05/08/2026 to approve recommendations subject to call-in. The Board noted the direction to adopt national rules for adult education eligibility and that the Greater Lincolnshire Funding Rules have been revised to reflect these national residency eligibility rules from 01 August 2026. The revised rules align with national DfE policy, and include specific provisions for learners with limited length visas and asylum seekers.

The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (Employment and Skills Board) approved the acceptance of up to £416,972.73 in FE Teacher Industry Exchange - Construction Skills funding on 05/08/2026. The Board also endorsed the delivery route in principle and delegated authority to the Director of Strategy and Operations, in consultation with the Mayor, to sign funding agreements. A draft delivery plan has been submitted to the Department for Education.
