Strategic Investment Board - Thursday, 13 November 2025 10.30 am

The Strategic Investment Board met to discuss the corporate overview business plans and the corporate investment overview, focusing on the 2025/26 performance review. The board approved the recommendations as per the part 1 report.

The Surrey County Council cabinet met to discuss the government's reorganisation of local government in Surrey, which will see the county's 12 councils replaced with two unitary councils in April 2027, and to address a number of other issues including a petition against the booking system trial at Camberley and Lyne Recycling Centres, and the expansion of the Woodland School. The cabinet also approved an increase in the net revenue budget of £1.274.8 million due to additional public health funding.

The meeting of Surrey Council included discussion of the Surrey Youth Justice Plan 2025/26, questions from councillors to cabinet members, and briefings from cabinet members. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss the minutes from previous meetings of the council and the cabinet.

Communities, Environment and Highways Select Committee - Thursday, 9 October 2025 10.00 am

The Communities, Environment and Highways Select Committee met to discuss Surrey County Council's performance, the local nature recovery strategy, and the climate change delivery plan. The committee requested additional information on electric vehicle charging points, supported continued monitoring of areas with low broadband coverage, and sought assurances that climate change initiatives would continue during the transition to a unitary authority. The committee also agreed to review measurable targets related to the local nature recovery strategy at a future meeting.
