Planning Board - Thursday, 20th February, 2025 6.30 pm
The Planning Board approved two applications: the demolition of all existing buildings on a site at 141-143 Woolwich Road to be replaced with a mixed-use development of purpose-built student accommodation and commercial units, and the rear extension of a mixed-use property at 148-156 Plumstead High Street to provide 13 new residential units.
Council - Wednesday, 29th January, 2025 7.00 pm
The Council agreed to reduce the maximum level of support available through the Local Council Tax Support Scheme 2025-26 from 100% to 80% and agreed to reduce the time before charging a Council Tax Premium to unfurnished and unoccupied properties from 2 years to 12 months. They also noted the appointment of Councillor Sandra Bauer as the new Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture and Communities, and voted to adopt a motion on protecting leaseholders from the cost of fire safety remediation work.
Pension Fund Investment & Administration Panel - Monday, 27th January, 2025 1.00 pm
This meeting of the Pension Fund Investment & Administration Panel was scheduled to consider the adoption of an audit completion report for 2023/24, to make decisions about two proposed changes to the Pension fund's asset allocation, and to note declarations of interest from the Councillors on the panel.
Planning Board - Tuesday, 14th January, 2025 6.30 pm
The meeting unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for applications on two sites at 81-88 Beresford Street. The sites are part of the large Royal Arsenal Riverside development. The first application was to extend an existing student accommodation block. The second was to convert existing offices into a new student accommodation block and a hotel.
