The Leicestershire County Council was scheduled to meet on 3 December 2025 to discuss a range of topics, including the annual delivery report, revisions to the council's constitution, and a number of notices of motion. The council was also expected to appoint a new Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service.

The Leicestershire County Council convened an extraordinary meeting to address the critical matter of local government reorganisation (LGR). The primary focus was to allow the County Council to comment on the proposals for LGR, with a supplementary report containing a draft Business Case also provided. The Scrutiny Commission were scheduled to meet to discuss local government reorganisation, the council's annual delivery report, and the annual traded services strategy. The meeting was also scheduled to cover the council's financial strategy monitoring, including revenue budget and capital programme updates. Councillors were expected to comment on a draft business case for local government reorganisation and the future direction of Beaumanor Hall.
