Planning Applications Sub-Committee (3) - Tuesday 17th September, 2024 6.30 pm

This meeting was about deciding whether to grant planning permission, listed building consent, and make tree preservation orders. It included applications for alterations to a building in Foley Street, a roof extension to create new offices in Bruton Place, demolition and rebuild behind a retained facade in Westbourne Park Road, the felling of a tree in Clifton Hill, and applications to extend permissions for the use of public highway land in Covent Garden to place tables and chairs, and for the replacement of windows in Huxley Street. Staff Appeals Sub-Committee - Thursday 12th September, 2024 10.00 am

The Staff Appeals Sub-Committee of Westminster Council met to consider the appeal of a former employee.

Climate Action, Environment and Highways Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 10th September, 2024 6.30 pm

The Committee agreed to add a pre-decision scrutiny piece on the Pimlico District Heating Undertaking (PDHU) to the October meeting. It also decided to add an item to November’s meeting to scrutinise the Public Conveniences Modernisation Programme. The Committee reviewed progress on the Sustainable Transport Strategy and made recommendations on horse riding, trade parking permits and reporting dangerous driving.

Young People, Learning and Employment Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 30th July, 2024 6.30 pm, NEW

The Committee met to discuss two reports: one on the North Paddington Programme and the other on the ActiveWestminster Strategy. The Committee recommended that the Council reconsider how many core themes the North Paddington Programme is attempting to address. They also recommended that the ActiveWestminster strategy makes more benches available in the public realm and publishes a timeline of events and activities to make it easier for people to find out what’s going on.
