The Council agreed to readopt the existing Gambling Policy for a further three years, to change the structure of the committees that make planning decisions, to grant Councillor Concia Albert dispensation from attending meetings, and to set the schedule for the Council's meetings in 2025-2026.

Licensing Sub-Committee (2) - Thursday 7th November, 2024 10.00 am

This meeting was about the consideration of an application to review the Premises Licence of The Globe pub in Marylebone. The application was made by a local resident, Michael Zelouf, on the grounds that the pub was causing a public nuisance. There were also representations from the Environmental Health Service, the licence holder, and a number of interested parties. The meeting papers describe a history of complaints about The Globe and detail what steps the licence holder was taking to mitigate public nuisance.

Rating Advisory Panel - Tuesday 5th November, 2024 10.15 am

This meeting was to consider whether to provide hardship and discretionary relief from Non-Domestic Rates (NDR ) for businesses in Westminster. NDR is a tax on businesses that is calculated based on the rental value of the property the business occupies.

General Purposes Committee - Wednesday 23rd October, 2024 6.00 pm

This meeting of the General Purposes Committee included a number of items on its agenda, but the most significant were proposals to restructure the council's planning committees, a discussion about the payment of compensation to a tenant, and the approval of the council's meeting schedule for 2025/2026.
