County Council - Wednesday, 14th January, 2026 2.00 pm

The Northumberland County Council meeting scheduled for 14 January 2026 was set to cover a range of important local government matters. Key discussions were expected to include the annual safeguarding update, portfolio reports on public safety and adults' services and health, and interim reports from overview and scrutiny committees. The council was also scheduled to consider the approval of the Council Tax Support Scheme for 2026-27, the setting of the Council Tax Base for the same year, and the appointment of Independent Persons to standards committees.

Health and Wellbeing OSC - Tuesday, 6th January, 2026 1.00 pm

The Health and Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) meeting was scheduled to cover a range of important topics, including an update on safeguarding efforts, the provision of dentistry services, and the progress of the Heart of Blyth project. The committee was also set to review its work programme and forward plan.

North Northumberland Community Partnership - Thursday, 27th November, 2025 6.00 pm

Here is a summary of the scheduled discussions for the North Northumberland Community Partnership meeting. The meeting was scheduled to include a discussion of a petition requesting a 20mph speed limit in Thropton, as well as appointments to outside bodies. The Health and Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) was scheduled to meet to discuss patient services at Berwick Community Hospital, and to review the committee's work programme. The meeting was also scheduled to include a review of the minutes from recent Health & Wellbeing Board meetings, and the latest forward plan of key decisions made by the cabinet. Councillor T. Austin was scheduled to replace Councillor S. Simm on the Health and Wellbeing OSC for the coming year.
