Housing and Regeneration Scrutiny Commission - Tuesday 4th March 2025 7.00 p.m.
This meeting of the Housing and Regeneration Scrutiny Commission discussed Newham Council's response to the Regulator of Social Housing's (RSH) inspection of housing within the borough in October 2024, temporary accommodation and homelessness prevention in the borough, and the HRA Business Plan. The Commission noted the reports from officers and agreed to include the topics as standing agenda items to enable ongoing scrutiny.

Newham Council approved its annual budget for 2025/26 which included a council tax rise of 8.99%. Two amendments to the budget, one from the Newham Independent Group and one from the Green Group were rejected.
Strategic Development Committee - Tuesday 4th February 2025 6.00 p.m.
This meeting was about deciding whether to approve three planning applications. Two of the applications had previously been approved by the London Legacy Development Corporation before those powers were transferred back to Newham Council. Councillors were also asked to consider a report on an application to change the use of two buildings at Royal Albert Dock from offices to student accommodation.
