Special Meeting: Annual Budget and Council Tax Setting, Council - Thursday, 27th February, 2025 7.30 pm

This meeting is scheduled to cover a wide range of financial matters, including the Council's budget for 2025-26, the rates at which it will charge fees for its services, its plans to invest in new buildings and infrastructure and the pay of its employees. Grant of a premises licence at St James’s Food Store, 44 St James’s Street, Walthamstow, London E17 7PE, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Thursday, 30th January, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to determine an application for the grant of a new premises licence for St James's Food Store, 44 St James's Street in Walthamstow. The Sub-Committee decided to reject the application due to the applicant's close family ties to the previous licence holder, whose licence had been revoked due to serious breaches of the licensing objectives, and their view that, given the short time that had elapsed, the business was essentially being managed in the same manner.

Variation of a premises licence: The Log Cabin, Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone E11, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 3.30 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee considered an application by Mr Yasin Siddiqi to vary the premises licence of The Log Cabin, Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone, E11 1NR. The Sub-Committee granted the application in part, allowing The Log Cabin to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises only between 12:00 and 21:00, Monday to Sunday. The Sub-Committee refused the request to extend the opening hours to 05:00.

Grant of a Premises Licence, Scorpion Bar & Lounge, 7 Hall Lane, Chingford, E4 8HH, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 2.00 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence by Mr Shpresim Maloku for the Scorpion Bar & Lounge, 7 Hall Lane, Chingford. The committee granted the application, but with significantly reduced hours from those requested and a number of new conditions.

Grant of a Premises Licence: Dawn to Dusk, 79 Station Road, Chingford, E4 7BU, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 17th December, 2024 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence for Dawn to Dusk, a new Thai restaurant at 79 Station Road in Chingford. The sub-committee decided to grant the licence with the reduced hours that were agreed with the applicant.
