Children, Education and Families Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 11 November 2025 7.00 pm

The Children, Education and Families Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee of Bromley Council scheduled a meeting to discuss a range of issues, including budget monitoring, capital programme monitoring, the Education Commissioning Plan, and the annual reports from the Independent Reviewing Officer and the Local Authority Designated Officer. The meeting was also scheduled to include a portfolio holder update, a review of matters outstanding, and a forward work programme.

Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education - Monday 3 November 2025 6.00 pm

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss revisions to the religious education syllabus, collective worship guidance, and to approve the annual report. The council approved the revised SACRE constitution, the Bromley Agreed Syllabus documents, and agreed to finalise collective worship guidance for schools, with example resources to be developed later in the academic year. Members also received national and local updates on religious education and interfaith initiatives.

The Children, Education and Families Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee met on 11 September 2025, and among other things, discussed the Children and Young People's Plan 2025-2029, the constitution of the Schools Forum, and a deep dive into children and young people's mental health and wellbeing services. The committee supported the recommendations in all of the reports they discussed.

Pensions Committee - Thursday 28 August 2025 7.00 pm

The Bromley Council Pensions Committee met on 28 August 2025, to discuss the performance of the pension fund, the annual report, and a presentation from Legal & General Investment Management. The committee endorsed the key procurement decision levels and noted the contents of the Pension Fund Performance report, the Local Pension Board Annual Report 2024/25, and the Pension Fund Annual Report and Draft Accounts 2024/25.
