Inclusive Economy and Culture Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 12th September, 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting was scheduled to include a verbal update from the Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Business, Skills and Greenwich Supports, Councillor Denise Hyland[^2], as well as updates on the Council's Inclusive Economy Strategy, and its approach to attracting and supporting businesses in the borough. The Scrutiny Panel was also scheduled to note its Work Programme for the 2024/25 municipal year. Council - Wednesday, 24th July, 2024 7.00 pm
This meeting of the full council saw the appointment of Councillor Majid Rahman as the new Cabinet Member for Planning, Estate Renewal and Development, replacing Councillor Aidan Smith who has left the council to take up a new role elsewhere. The council also voted to approve the adoption of a new Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule and to allow for the appointment of political assistants for both the Labour and Conservative groups.
Local Planning Committee - Tuesday, 16th July, 2024 6.30 pm
The committee approved three applications and refused two.
Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 11th July, 2024 6.30 pm
The panel discussed the financial strategy for health and adult social care in Greenwich, the impact of new treatments for musculoskeletal problems, and the work schedule for the panel going forward. The meeting concluded without any decisions being made.
Housing and Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Panel - Tuesday, 9th July, 2024 6.30 pm
The Housing and Neighbourhoods Scrutiny Panel discussed the future of the council's garage sites and their potential for building new homes, and decided upon their work programme for the coming year. The Panel decided to add a review of the estate regeneration process to their work programme.
